Terms & Conditions – Peat & Co Services
1. Definitions
"We/Us" refers to Peat & Co.
"Client/Customer" refers to the person or entity engaging in our services.
2. Scope of Work
We will perform the work as quoted with reasonable skill and care.
The client is responsible for obtaining any necessary consents unless otherwise agreed.

3. Access
The client must provide access to the site for the purpose of carrying out the work.
We will not accept responsibility for delays that result from restricted access caused by the client or other parties.

4. Health and Safety
We adhere to the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015.
We are not responsible for delays caused by others not following safety protocols.

5. Delays
We will not be responsible for late completion, and we reserve the right to pass on costs incurred because of events beyond our control including but not confined to; other trades late in finishing, materials promised by the client and not being available. Extreme weather events.

6. Ownership and Title
Ownership of any goods supplied remains with us until full payment is received.
We reserve the right to reclaim goods if payment is not made.

7. Payment Terms
50% payment is due upon completion of first fix plumbing and receipt of the invoice. Followed by 50% at the completion of the plumbing works. We reserve the right to ask for a deposit before work commences. Where payments are late, we reserve the right to charge late payment fees, collection charges and collection costs.

8. Insurance
We carry Public Liability insurance.
The client must insure the value of the work before it starts.

9. Warranty
We provide a 2 year warranty on workmanship.
Manufacturer warranties apply to materials used.
Materials supplied by the client are not covered under our warranty. We accept no responsibility for faults, failures, or defects arising from client-supplied materials.

10. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes will be resolved through mediation in accordance with New Zealand law.

11. Amendments
These terms may only be amended with the written consent of both parties.

12. Acceptance
By engaging in our services, the client agrees to these terms of trade.
